Revised PulseTV Film Submission Ingest Request – Specific Guidelines for Filmmakers
To ensure consistency and the highest quality for your film on PulseTV, we have updated our submission guidelines. Adhering to these requirements, will ensure your film is presented in the best possible light.
Video Submission:
- Format: All videos must be in 1080P, Ultra 4K or 4K DCI, ProRes 422 format. This ensures optimal image quality and color accuracy.
- Delivery: Submit your film via a hard drive for secure and efficient transfer of large 4K files. 1080P files can be delivered in our dropbox link. (Television series must have at least 3 episodes on hard drive if 4k, Prores 422 )
Artwork Submission:
- Formats: Artwork must be in PSD (Photoshop) or PNG formats.
- Resolutions and Aspect Ratios: Required artwork resolutions and aspect ratios:
- 16:9 (standard widescreen) – Required
- 4:3 (traditional TV format)
- 3:4 (portrait mode for mobile devices)
- 16:6 (banner)
- 2:1 (specific use case dimensions)
- 2:3 – Required
- 16:9 HERO (specific use case dimensions) – Required
- 522 x 760 pixels (specific use case dimensions)
- Text Restrictions on Cover Art: The only text allowed on the cover art is the title of the movie. Any additional text will result in rejection, and you will be required to resubmit the artwork before your film can be approved.
- Bleed Lines and Text Overflow: Ensure text does not overflow within the bleed lines for visual integrity and readability.
Audio Submission:
- Quality: Audio must be in 48kHz, 24-bit format for high-resolution sound quality.
- Volume Limits: Audio should not peak over 0dB to prevent distortion and ensure comfortable listening.
- Black Frame Requirement: Include 1 frame of black at the start and end of your film.
General Submission Notes:
- Label all video files with the film’s title, aspect ratio, and format. (Ex. Filmtitle_4K_Prores422, Trailer_1080_Prores_H264)
- Label all digital media file (Photoshop or PNG) with the film’s title, aspect ratio (Ex. Filmtitle_16-9-Hero.PSD) files must be labeled properly or submission will be rejected and subject to resubmission
- Provide subtitles or closed captions in a separate file, preferably in SRT or VTT format.
- Include a brief synopsis and key metadata (director’s name, cast, year of production, etc.) with your submission. Fill out metadata here
- Additional material such as behind-the-scenes content or filmmaker commentary is encouraged.
